Passed down several generations, this farm is currently in the hands of a young family who are passionate about restoring the local landscape. The Nimmitabel project represents an important habitat refuge in this agricultural landscape, as this site and the surrounding areas have experienced long-term degradation.
AirSeed will be returning eucalyptus and wattle trees to the area, kick-starting soil and vegetation recovery and providing a refuge for local animals that have experienced widespread habitat loss. One of the species being planted here, manna gum (Eucalyptus viminalis), is a native tree experiencing widespread dieback, which we hope to assist in reversing.
