Lismore and the Northern Rivers Region

grovia is working with landholders, Landcare organisations, and community groups in the greater Northern Rivers region of NSW in response to the catastrophic flooding events of 2022.

Enhancing Community Efforts With Drones

AirSeed by grovia’s mission is to remove barriers for restoration projects of great community significance and is proud to be working alongside the community to restore lost biodiversity and build ecological resilience to the land.

As areas affected by landslips can be difficult to access for remediation works, drone-based delivery of pioneer plants can be the first step to successful ecosystem recovery.

A Native Solution for the Northern Rivers

We use our drones to deliver a mix of native “pioneer” seed pods. These pioneer species have adapted to germinate after disturbances in the landscape.

They are fast growing and serve to bind soil, prevent erosion and provide shade and a favourable habitat for subsequent species growing in the area.

Working With the Red Cross

AirSeed by grovia is also working closely with The Australian Red Cross to meaningfully engage members of the community in the restoration process and get resources to those still in need.
